At first, the project worked in the Ethereum blockchain. This choice is conditioned by a quick solution to launch a peer-to-peer network. Later, the developers switched to their own blockchain with a Proof-of-Stake algorithm and Validation consensus. TRON was one of the first platforms to implement this. Wrapped TRON is provided with an underlying asset in a ratio of 1:1, has the same price and allows you to expand the possibilities of application, for example, to trade on decentralized exchanges that do not support the "original".
